Every morning, Sky Electronics receives packages from our neighbor Kuroneko Delivery. Sometimes we receive things that make us wonder, “What the heck is this?
The other day it was a big ventilation fan with metal blades that you usually find at heavy industrial factories. I like anything for professional use, and I used to use a professional laser printer at home, and I also like corporate models of PCs. So, I got super excited.
But what would it be used for? I was wondering but it turned out that our senior staffs are currently conducting various experiments to improve the power generation efficiency of a revolutionary new product, a “Duct Wind Turbine,” which uses the exhaust air from factory ventilation fans to generate electricity.
So, they built a frame to reproduce a factory duct for their experiments, set the ventilation fan and the generator fan facing each other, and turned it on…Whoosh!
Surprisingly, the blades of the generator spun around quite wildly. I think this could generate quite a lot of electricity.

If you are a factory owner, or if you are ventilating a building or something other than a factory, you may be able to save on your electricity bill by installing a duct wind turbine.
